...I keep forgetting who I have or haven't told about this stuff by now. It's an Adonis thing.

I don't think you've ever told me about it. I—have no idea what that is.

X-Day is, like, a goal of Adonis, I guess. I don't know a ton about it except what they say in their insane videos, but it sounds like they want to remake the country with their vision of righteous judgment or something. All the other attacks they did are just counting down to X-Day at New Year's.

Yep... Sounds like it's pretty bad if you're worried about it.

Because we've only got a few weeks until then, and the police apparently aren't any closer to catching Adonis. So even if I make it through the concert and Hana's dealt with, Adonis will probably still get away with whatever they have planned for X-Day.

It's hard to care about much when that's looming over your head.

Hm... Yeah. Hopefully they get caught, or—something.

There's not a lot of time for that, but I guess maybe there's still a chance.

Maybe. Life can get weird like that—where suddenly out of nowhere, one thing changes everything.

Sometimes. We wouldn't really be here, if not for that.

But I'm not going to get my hopes up that the next deus ex machina will be something in our favor.

Maybe if things were different, it wouldn't be so bad.

I don't need encouragement. I'm not putting my life on pause just because it might end in a few weeks... again, I guess. It's just how things are back home.

There's nothing I can do about it, anyway. I'm not going to be the one to stop Adonis, and as long as they're out there, anyone can die at any moment. It'd be stupid to pretend otherwise.
